Job Description:Job Description Job description Responsibilities:- Oversee daily operations of the kitchen, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed- Train and supervise kitchen staff, including scheduling and performance evaluations- Collaborate with the restaurant manager to develop menus and create new dishes- Monitor food quality and consistency to ensure customer satisfaction- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment- Adhere to budgetary guidelines and control costs Skills:- Strong experience in restaurant management, preferably in a kitchen manager role- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating a positive dining experience- In-depth knowledge of the food industry, including current trends and best practices- Ability to conduct interviews and select qualified kitchen staff members- Familiarity with hotel kitchen operations is a plus- Proficient in food preparation techniques and knowledgeable about various cuisines- Thorough understanding of food safety regulations and procedures- Proven ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team of kitchen employees- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment -Catering and event experience an asset Note: This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive.
