Hello! I’m a quiet, clean friendly and respectful, 40s female looking for a peaceful, clean home space. I’ve been in the Yukon for more than 10 years, so I’m familiar with the quirks and joys, and have excellent landlord references. Open to room in a share, a cabin or suite/apt (within 20 mins of town). I don’t smoke, no interest in drugs, partying or drinking, other than a very occasional glass of wine. I don't have pets but love them, and happy to help out with any in the home. Budget $1100 - $1500 depending on the set-up and what’s included. Also interested in shorter term options until I find a longer term space (in that case I can sublet as long as we can have a written agreement for the room rental).

If it’s a house-share - I’d love to find a decent sized room, since I’m currently more home-based with my projects and studies, and also love to be able to roll out a yoga mat/ have a corner for meditation etc. I tend to be pretty quiet and conscious of collaborating in creating harmony in the home - both in keeping the space clean and well tended, friendly dynamics, and working with one another’s needs and schedules etc. Quiet sleep times are something I really value and respect.

I love time in nature (daily walks), reading, podcasts, learning (and un-learning!), meditation, rest, re-growing my familiarity with cooking wholesome meals (many years without a kitchen!), meandering conversation, building community, shared laughter. Also interested in gardening this year (or helping out). Happy to shovel the walks/ driveway and share in the house tasks.

If it’s a cabin or suite - I’m looking for a space with a full cooking stove, or at least a propane cooktop/ electric full power burners (no induction or cheap hotplates). Also would like to have power and internet. A dry cabin would be ok, and wood stoves are fine. Also open to trades (pet care, dog walking, extra garden or farm help, etc) for a more affordable rent.

Hoping to move sometime between May 15 and July 1 but can be flexible and may be able to wait longer for a good fit of space. If you have something coming up earlier or later than that, I’d still love to hear about it!
