Still have music in you ?

This is aimed at the starving musician, who with a head full of music, is probably stuck doing a 9 to 5 job just to keep up with bills. I am a semi-retired sound engineer and have had very good results with totally amateur musicians who need just the right help with recording and production. I have people from their 20s to Yvonne and Maureen who are in their 60s who work with me. With the ease of publishing these days these artists have built up quite a nice following online. They are also happy to report that they do get paid a few cents per song which according to them was totally unexpected. I had almost no exposure to hip hop and rap but I find that I can make beats and that has led to me working with quite a few angry young men. :) I do not claim to have the latest and greatest equipment, but I do have equipment that were used in some of the greatest hits in the past. You might find it fun to work with knobs and rack gear with an aging sound engineer harking back to the days where music came from the heart of the musician and was sculpted to perfection by a sound engineer. Some people come to record clean vocals and instruments and then take them back to do the rest on their mobile phone with amazing results. I use the PC like a recorder, so do not have plug-ins or autotune. I do this so I don't lose my music. As I grow older, I find that I am gradually losing interest in things I once would kill for. Photography, Keyboards and Cars for example. : ) After doing this pro bono for many years I find that with the rising costs and mortgage, especially utilities, I would appreciate a few bucks, if you can afford it, just to help me cover the utilities. Studio eqpt take up a lot of juice. : ( But please don't let this stop you from contacting me. From $150 a month a few years ago, now I pay over $360 per month for Enmax.
