We offer training in the Karate of the Zendokan Dharma Kumiai (ZDK), one of Canada's oldest Karate clubs (1959). We have been at the same location in Oshawa for over 50 years.
ZDK Karate is an effective and efficient style, focusing on practical applications for combat. ZDK is not a sport-oriented nor competitive style, but rather one focused on the development of the individual. We welcome all adults (16+) regardless of age or physical condition.
Classes are taught by J. Bayes (7th dan), Mike Moffatt (5th dan), and Warren Wagler (4th dan).
Dues are $35 a month for adults (student discount available) and allow students to also train in Peterborough.
Traditional Japanese swordsmanship (Iaido) and art of the staff (Jodo) are also available.
