To chip and remove by fettling excess material from castings such as roughness, gates, risers and flashing.
-- Working location: Haley Station, Renfrew County or Whitewater Region, Ontario

Qualifications:
-- Completed High School or equivalent experience/training
-- Able to use hand tools and equipment
-- Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
-- Strong work ethic and reliability
Specific Duties
-- Receives instruction from supervisor
-- Maintains a dean working area to 6S standards
-- Notifies foreman of any job irregularities, faulty equipment or material
-- Uses various size pneumatic chipping chisels to remove excess materials from castings
-- Uses airoperated hand tools such as grinders, cutters, sanders and reciprocating gun to dress and fettle castings to their required shape
-- Uses calipers, sonic machines, straight edges and rules to check tolerances
-- Blues and paints castings for scribing using templates to maintain casting configuration
-- Uses small hand tools to change cutters, gi1nders and sanding equipment
-- Loads and operates manual and mechanical grind aids
