Continuing Care Assistant/Personal Care Worker/Healthcare Student (CCA, LPN, RN, OT, PT, BSC.) Permanent part time and casual.
Former college teacher (middle - aged female) with multiple sclerosis is recruiting part-time and casual Personal Care Worker(s) to assist with activities of daily living such as mobility (transfers, positioning, ROM), personal care, and home care. Position is located in Clayton Park, Halifax.
Hour of Work: Morning - 8:30 am – 1:00 pm , Supper - 4:00 pm – 6:15 pm , Evening - 9:00 pm – 10:30 pm

Shifts available Monday to Sunday (inclusive) including holidays. Shifts will be shared among a team of personal care workers.
Currently seeking Care workers for supper, evenings, and weekend shifts.
Qualifications: Personal care aid experience an asset. Formal CCA training or equivalent preferred but not necessary. Caregivers must: • be able to LIFT while performing pivot transfers • be able to perform duties using proper body mechanics • be able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English • be reliable, punctual, dependable, trustworthy, and flexible • be able to work independently • have valid criminal record and vulnerability checks
Description of Duties: 1. Assisting with mobility by lifting, transferring, positioning 2. Performing ROM and strength training exercises as directed by physiotherapist 3. Assisting with dressing/undressing, bathing/showering, toileting, grooming, and medications 4. Performing light household duties including meal preparation
