We are looking for someone to accompany two individuals with disabilities to access the community.
Ideally the candidate will be knowledgeable of the lay of the city and how to use the city transit bus. This person should be energetic, in good physical shape, and a real go getter. If you have a good sense of humor and are easy going, then you will get along great here.
You will need to be resourceful in planning activities when needed. We are looking to help them make community connections, hook up with friends and learn all about their own city and what it has to offer. All of this while improving skills of independence.
Language is a barrier so good clear English is a must. You will need to have a vehicle and a valid drivers license. You must produce a clean Criminal Record Check for the Vulnerable Sector, as well as, a valid First Aid Certificate within the first 3 weeks to keep employment.
Employment will start May 1, 2024. Rate of pay is $22/hour. We will need someone for about 15-20 hours a week. Hours will be varied as the schedule will follow the activities of each client and what they need at that time.
