Private Piano Teacher

My name is Cassara Liu, and I’ve been involved in music since I was 8 years old! I’m currently taking in students in ANY age group (children, young adults, and/or adults). I am RCM level 10 certified since the age of 16 and have been teaching piano privately throughout highschool and university for almost 7 years! I have also helped out many students with RCM exam preparations (helping them achieve 85%+ in their exams). I'm fluent in Mandarin and English and have a lot of fun teaching (currently teaching many students ages 3 and up) and believe that learning the piano should be FUN for everyone (no matter the age!)

My teaching methods is completely depended on the student and what he/she/they want to achieve. I provide lessons for RCM (Royal Conservatory Music), Alfred’s basic piano, and/or any other piano books the students would like to learn from! I believe learning the piano is a great skill to have for the future, whether it be career wise or just for fun! Learning the piano does not need to be an expensive investment. Beginners can start with a low end keyboard and decisions to invest in a higher end piano for higher learning can be made later down the road based on the students interest! Piano book and Piano theory books are also quite inexpensive, there are many options to choose from!

Each lessons I provide will have homework that go along with it (depending on the age and school workload) to be completed by the next lesson. Lessons will be tailored to each individual learning style and pace. Small quizzes will also be given along the way to ensure students are grasping concepts taught and to help pin point area of focus in order to improve!
