Students - Instead of searching for someone else to work for this summer, be your own boss with the help of a $3,000 grant and workshops through the "Summer Company" program, facilitated by The Business Centre Nipissing Parry Sound (office located inside North Bay City Hall).
Through the Summer Company program, successful applicants receive:
-$3,000 in start-up funding
-Professional development workshops
-Mentorship & advice from local business leaders
& The option to be a part of our annual Pop-up Market at Northgate Shopping Centre.
You are eligible if you:
-Attend high school, college or university in Ontario;
-Are an Ontario resident and Canadian citizen;
-Are between 15 to 29 years old (if under 18: a parent or guardian must sign the agreement for the applicant);
-Are not already running a business licensed with the government of Ontario;
-Are not working more than 12 hours per week at another job during the program;
-Are returning to school after the program ends.
Applications are OPEN NOW and close by May 13th. Please note that that program may fill before May 13th as viable applications are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
