If you have Kitec piping in your home you need to get it out now. I would strongly recommend having it done sooner than later to avoid more damage. I have replaced piping in homes where walls were rotten due to the slow leaks over time, they also had to be replaced costing twice as much and vast inconvenience to the household.
We would come and replace all your piping with all drywall access holes repaired and painted to match original colours and your house fully back to its new condition. All Kitec replaced with oxygen barrier Pex pipe, all fittings replaced and all valves at the furnace for all zones. See the pictures of before and after. Kitec is normally orange, can also be white or blue.

You may also find your insurance company will not insure you if you inform them of the Kitec, or if you make a claim and they don’t know, the policy may be void. If they do know about it and you have it removed it will almost certainly lower your premium.
