Project Engineer

Job Description:Job Description Key Qualifications Among the other strengths you bring to the role of Project Engineer will be the following key qualifications: 1. Completion of post-secondary education degree or diploma in structural engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. 2. Extensive structural engineering experience in steel structure/building 3. Extensive experience in developing maintaining and updating design and construction standards, specifications and processes, reports, RFPs/proposals and presentations. 4. Experience effectively collaborating with clients, colleagues, elected officials, consultants, developers, and stakeholders. 5. Experience directing the work of staff and assigned team producing effective results. 6. Extensive skill working with related software, i.e. STTAD, SAP, ETABS, AutoCad,… 7. Considerable knowledge of construction materials and methods. 8. Ability to deliver projects on time, in the current and related codes. 9. Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information at all levels of the organization. 10.Excellent interpersonal, Customer Service and team building skills. 11.To be eligible for Senior Engineer positions, registration with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), or licensing as a professional engineer in good standing in another Canadian engineering association with the ability to obtain a P.Eng. licence with PEO required. You bring extensive knowledge of legislation, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations for construction projects, along with knowledge of asset management principles, including data collection, analysis and estimating. You’re also known for your ability to read, interpret, and report on engineering plans and drawings, specifications, correspondence, reports and other documents in a timely manner, conduct studies, surveys and research, develop effective solutions to engineering issues, initiate and lead technical studies and projects, and plan and prepare reports and recommendations. A valid Province of Ontario Class "G" Driver's Licence, with an ability to drive to different sites in a timely manner, is also required.
