Just picked these up not really expecting much, but I’ve had a few pair of the older Pioneer’s and they’ve never disappointed. The grills don’t come off so I opened em up to see what was inside and what I found were some real old school drivers and tweeters. There were crossovers as well. I completed the acoustic fill as the left sides and tops of the cabinets didn’t have it.
Really dark mohoghany vinyl cabinets in really nice condition and the grills are perfect with badges intact. I also verathaned the tops of the cabinets as they were fairly scratched up. Came out pretty good. These have rubber feet incorporated into the bases.
Specs:
10” treated cloth surrounded woofers
3” paper coned tweeters
60 watts max
6 ohms impedance
The real test after my cosmetic work and internals came when I hooked these up. Nice sounding speakers and they go plenty loud believe me. Can’t really find much about this particular model online but I peg them at late 70’s. I know there are quite a few vintage Pioneer fans out there that would just love these.
