Hello!

With over 25 years' experience, I am a friendly professional ESL (English as a Second Language) tutor who works online.

In my opinion, online lessons are more convenient, private, and, most importantly, effective than in-person lessons.

I have video meetings via Skype. I also use Google Docs, so you will see what I am writing in real time, and vice versa. Both technologies are easy to use.

I only tutor adults, not children. I specialize in intermediate and advanced learners.

Would you like to feel more comfortable speaking and writing in English? Communicating well in English requires regular practice and feedback. My lessons offer both.

I tutor everyday English, academic English, and business English. As I help you improve your spoken and written English, I can pay special attention to other aspects of your English: your listening, grammar, pronunciation, vocabulary, and idioms use. As well, I can help you prepare for such tests as CELPIP, IELTS, and Duolingo.

Because many of my students have a hard time expressing themselves in English, I am especially interested in helping my students improve their speaking. I can help you find your “voice” in English so that you can explain your thoughts, ideas, and feelings with more confidence. You will not just learn English during your lessons; you will also learn about yourself, others, and the world.

During my lessons, I try to create a comfortable and stimulating environment where my students can focus on learning and have fun at the same time. I can teach you in a way that considers your level, personality, life experience, interests, and goals. I am enthusiastic, am patient, and have a good sense of humour. I also really love English!

I have two types of lessons, Type 1 and Type 2. Type 1 lessons, where you choose the content of each lesson (I can help you choose), are $25/hour (student) or $30 (regular). Most of my students are successful when learning with Type 1 lessons.

Type 2 lessons, which I prepare an hour for, are $45/hour (student) or $50 (regular). Please note that my students sometimes need to buy a book for Type 2 lessons.

After the first lesson, payments will be via e-transfer or via PayPal (using your own account or a credit card).
