Hand craved wood elephant stringed puppet

This wonderful hand crafted and carved started it's life in Asia somewhere Made from Mango wood- decorated with hand painting and micro mini coloured mirrors making it reflect light- very pretty ! Jointed trunk, legs and ears and the tail is real hair. One of the nicest hand carved elephants I have seen out there with great attention to detail. Wonderful piece-all legs, trunk, ears, and head are articulated Elephants are a sacred symbol in Hindu and Buddhist religion representing loyalty, power, wisdom, and fertility. Great local find.
