Description

I have a bird named Marigold who lost his Java flock mate. I’ve adopted a few society finches available at a bird rescue in hopes of lessening his isolation but he is still showing signs of loneliness. The societies themselves are active, bonded and seem happy enough with their own space. He is interested in them and copies some of their activities but still extremely lonely in comparison to how he used to be. I was wondering if anyone has a lone Java finch or other Javas who they might consider allowing me to adopt to help him bond with his own species, who might also be lonely or bettered with another fellow Java.

Marigold has his own bird-safe flight room, regular vet care and I’m often home to care for him. If Marigold and a new companion didn’t form a pair bond, they would still have plenty of space to do their own thing and they’d still be closer to forming their own small species-related “flock”. You can also verify/tour his bird room to ensure a friend would be safely housed with him. His favourite activities are flight, singing and shredding sola flowers. His favourite treats are millet and peas. He used to love taking baths with his Java companions but shows less interest in play and his old favourite activities right now. If anyone has a Java for adoption that could help resolve his species related loneliness and would be willing to adopt them out, I would really appreciate it. Thank you!
