Things you should know about buying or adopting a pet

While pet sellers can be reputable individuals or breeders who treat their animals well, the ease of selling pets over the Internet also makes it attractive to careless, irresponsible breeders and scammers. To protect yourself, you must be careful and believe only what you see and not what you are told. It is highly recommended to arrange for an inspection of the home where the pets are bred. This allows you to check that the mother and other animals are living in suitable conditions, being well cared for, and are in good health.

Remember that the Kijiji Pets section is NOT intended to facilitate uncontrolled breeding, irresponsible commercial pet trading, trade of dogs or any other animal for the purpose of fighting or stud services. Any ads that are suspected of promoting this kind of activity or reported to us will be removed. Users are responsible for adhering to the applicable conditions in relation to adopting, buying, selling or listing of an ad on Kijiji.

Kijiji encourages, where possible, the adoption of pets and encourages all pet owners to have their animals spayed or neutered as well as microchipped.

When looking for a pet, it is important to meet the breeder or seller and examine the pet before agreeing to anything. Since Kijiji is local to your community, this should be easy to arrange. Never adopt/buy a pet from someone who is unwilling to let you see how and where the animal is living!

Forest Grove Chihuahuas would like to introduce you to Peach………. the last available puppy from the litter born March 1, 2024. Peach is a White with Chocolate Merle spots Chihuahua Pomeranian with blue eyes (could change) and this little sweetie is an absolute doll and she loves kisses and snuggles.

Peach will be available to go to her new home the weekend of May 4/5 at 9 weeks old. She will come with health record from the first vet check, first set of vaccines and microchipped. Peach will have received 3 doses of dewormer before she goes to her new home and I provide additional dewormer for future treatments. I also provide a Royal Canin puppy pack, 4 weeks of free pet insurance through Trupanion, toys, blanket, and much much more. You will be required to sign a strict spay/neuter contract. The contract also includes a clause that states if the puppy ever needs to be rehomed in the future it will be returned to me. All of my puppies are sold as pets only and you will be required to sign a spay/neuter contract. Prior to leaving for their new home each puppy has their first vet visit, shots, dewormed. I also provide a puppy starter pack with food, toys, a blanket and more to ensure the puppy's transition to their new home is as smooth as possible. The first step in the adoption process is to complete and submit the application form. Next is a video chat or home visit and lastly, I will complete reference checks. Once the application process has been completed and you have been approved, Nemo can be reserved with a $500 non-refundable hold fee until he is ready to go home. Completion of the adoption process includes signing a strict spay/neuter contract and payment of the remaining portion of the fee upon (or before) pick up of your new furbaby. If you are skeptical about placing a deposit, I do have references, I also do live video chats as well to show you the puppies to make yourself feel more comfortable. We can also arrange for you to a do home visit!
