Things you should know about buying or adopting a pet

While pet sellers can be reputable individuals or breeders who treat their animals well, the ease of selling pets over the Internet also makes it attractive to careless, irresponsible breeders and scammers. To protect yourself, you must be careful and believe only what you see and not what you are told. It is highly recommended to arrange for an inspection of the home where the pets are bred. This allows you to check that the mother and other animals are living in suitable conditions, being well cared for, and are in good health.

Description

One year old female shorthaired Chihuahua looking for a forever home. She is a black brindle and has a very patterned coat. Nova is a very lean, athletic dog. She absolutely loves playing outside and inside and would do well with another small dog buddy or two. She is pretty spirited and busy. Very very intelligent, observant, and independent. She enjoys snuggles, but on her own terms, and doesn’t like to be grabbed (she used to be quite touch sensitive, but has come around, and grown to love belly rubs). She is slower to trust and bond with people, but when you have her trust, you have it. She would do best in a home without kids or with older children who wouldn’t pressure her and give her time to feel comfortable. Nova is crate trained and adores her crate, and is very good with baths and nail trims also. She gets along fine with cats. She is out of CKC reg’d dogs, who were also OFA tested- as are many close relatives, and multiple relatives were also Embark DNA tested. She comes from great lines, but will not be apart of our program and is thus searching for the perfect pet home.

She has a valid health certificate, and is UTD on vaccines. Delivery is possibly available within reason.
