Description

I am a designated professional accountant (Chartered Professional Accountants) with 12 years of accounting firm experience. Among the years, I have serviced hundreds of business owners with financial statements, corporate and personal tax returns. Experienced in various industries including retail, restaurants, real estate rental, equipment leasing, manufacturing, constructions, medical clinics, and investment companies.

During the 12 years I noticed a lot of small business owners struggling with financial statements and filing tax returns. Thousands of dollars of accounting and tax return bills eat away a significant portion of their income when the business does not make real money.

For a startup business, you are probably doing bookkeepings on your own and whatever else to save some cash. I will give you some basic knowledge of accounting and taxation so you understand how numbers work in your business and the proper way to keep track of your income and expenses so you don’t pay as much at year end.

This ad had been posted for a few months now and I have had a fair amount of enquiries. I just want to make a few comments here to answer some of the most asked questions and also give a few tips:

1. The money in your company IS NOT your money! If you take cash out from the company for personal use, you either have to pay it back or take it as personal income and pay taxes on it.

2. Keep track of expenses in different categories. What is for office expenses, what’s advertising, supplies, auto and everything else? This makes it easier to review your records at year end. And if you need me to do the bookkeeping, please have notes on the bank statements so I know what’s for what. I don't mind spending hours to figure out your transactions as I get to charge you for that. But I’m sure you would want to save a bit of cash for yourself.

3. If you have a few employees, don’t forget to issue T4s to them. They are due at the end of February.

4. Get online access with CRA for your business account. You can see a lot of information about your business such as NOAs, GST returns and account balances.

5. GST returns do not have to be filed monthly. It can be monthly, quarterly or annually depending on your revenue. Please refer to the CRA website for details about GST.

In an evolving tax environment, companies need to meet the requirements in order to reduce tax risks. No matter the nature of your business, I will provide one-stop service. My deep understanding of taxation can optimize tax processes, meet all of the required deadlines, and mitigate risk.

Corporate tax return starts at $650 ($100 for nil returns) Monthly bookkeeping starts at $109/mth. This includes a Quickbooks Online subscription worth of $72/mth, GST filing and T4 filing for one person. Personal tax return - $65 per person Self-employed personal tax return - $130 per person

Please feel free to contact me at quicktanda@gmail.com if you need a responsible accountant.

Thank you,

Will
