Description

My girl is super lonley! I recently brought her home from summer pasture/board and she is by herself. I would consider taking in a quiet boarder that does not need high maintenance. The board situation would need to be co-op as I have a shoulder injury that is exasperated by farm chores now. I have a large run in shelter that I keep bedded down in the winter, inside I have hay nets and feeders for square bales. She does not wear a jacket, the shelter is big and dry and she likes it. There is a large sand round pen and approximately 5 acres with red cedar to roam in. I have more summer pasture that can be accessed as well. I am in the Shannonville area, and you would need to be in this area as well to easily get here and help out as needed. I work full time and the days are short, I am away all day. There may be opportunity to rent a room and bring your horse. There are options but it has to be the right fit. If you want to come out and spend some time with her loving her up and brushing her and just hang out that can be arranged and I guarantee you will be her best friend. I may also consider selling her but to only an experienced/loving home that I feel is right for her. Creole, is an 8 year old blue roan Appaloosa mare. She is registered but I didn’t send in papers. She is super quiet and loves/adores people and loves attention. She is broke walk/trot/canter but unfortunately can only be lightly ridden due to bilateral high ringbone. (Walk/trot) This was due to neglect when she was a weanling. I x -ray every year and the bones are fusing, a good outcome. She is on Tri-Acta joint supplement and oil along with Essential K vitamins/minerals with roughage pellets. She likes her mealtime :) *She cannot be bred, per the vet, why would someone breed a potential fault anyway but I have been asked. I have had her since 15 months, she has been impeccably cared for and very much loved by our family and those that have met her. I have testimonies from my farrier, trainer and where she was in summer board to her quiet demeanour. I’m sure my vet will too. During x-rays for progress, she will stand quietly on the plates, no sedation. She loves to please as long as she knows what you want. She really is one of those special horses. She stands 14.3 and is Low on the pecking order, she tends to get picked on in a group. I have had her at a large boarding facility and she did not do well. Another option would be a free or partial lease to a small family farm in the Kingston area, where my daughter lives and can be part of her care. I no longer ride but my daughter rides her and Creole loves her, responds so well to her. I just need to find the right fit for all concerned. Any of her training at 4 and 5 years of age was by professional, concencous training using gentle methods, she was brought along slowly and properly. I unfortunately did not know about her ringbone at the time and it was with extended trail riding that she would have some sore days. This is when the investigation started and I stopped riding. She is good under saddle but would need to be started lighly, she remembers her ques. The riding pictures are September this year, 2023 Thank you for reading my mini synopsis if you made it this far. I hope this reaches the right person. I have lots of pictures and video. Please if you respond, tell me a little about you too. Thanks.
