Big stout, 16 HH, QH x TB cross, red roan gelding, 14 yrs old. A great horse for the right home!! We are sad to rehome him, as he has been a pleasure to ride. Ronny is more horse than I need now (age) and I would like him to find a home where he is used and appreciated. He is too young to sit here for another 10 years. Take this big guy to the mountains or trails all day long. I have totally enjoyed this great trail horse for the past 10 years. Go out by yourself or in a group. No problems with river crossings, up hills or down. He has excellent withers, but I still used a crouper on the saddle for my comfort. He has good solid feet and is good with farrier, has only been cold shod for mountain use, otherwise he goes barefoot. In ’21 I took him on a 9 day, 200 km packing trip from north of Nordegg to Hummingbird, and he never missed a beat! Ride him with saddle or bareback. He does not neck rein well, but for a trail horse, he is great. Ronny is very alert to his surroundings, not a beginner horse, no buck. He is excellent with regular use, a very easy keeper. He is very respectful of electric fence - a simple rope will keep him in when he knows there is power could be around.
