13 year old 12hh pony

Spartan ("Sparky") is a 13 year old 12hh pony with a super sweet personality! He has been in lesson programs, summer camps, and pony club. He came to us from a large facility and we have boarded him at smaller facilities and now at a private farm in large herds and small groups and he has done very well with both. Mid pecking order causes no drama in the herd and is friends with everyone. He's been both stalled at night and out 24/7 with and without blankets and has done well any way. Great stall manners and very tidy in a stall.

He has been mainly a lead line pony and a be groomed and love up pony for my daughter for the past three years. He can ride off leash line but requires a stronger rider than she currently is. My son has riden him independently since he was 10 but he will test boundaries so if a rider isn't strong enough he will put his head down and eat or wander to the gate and stand there. Best suited for lead line or an intermediate rider for this reason.

He gets fat on air but has never foundered. He does need much more regular riding than he is currently getting which is why I would rather see him go to a lesson program or an intermediate child that will ride more frequently.
