The display powers on fine, lights up for about 2 seconds, then goes black.
Holding a flashlight up to the screen I can still see picture, so I believe it's something wrong with the backlights.
I've opened it up a few times and made some attempts at repair.
I noticed the area on the main power board where the backlights connect had a lot of discoloration from heat and the connector itself had a couple cold solder joints. Reflowing the solder seemed to fix the problem for about a month then started again. I haven't tried replacing the backlights.
I bought a replacement power board to try, but it didn't work, and the heat damage looked worse than on mine.
So, I gave up and bought a new monitor.
Now this one is available for anyone who thinks they can fix it.
It was a great monitor that served me well for the past 6 years. RIP
