Description

The CPD Lab at Queen's University is looking at individuals who are experiencing depression to understand what predicts their recovery in daily functioning.

For this study, we will ask you to fill out some questionnaires and be part of an interview with a psychologist or a doctoral student about your mood and mental health symptoms. You will also be asked to complete tests that assess your cognitive abilities. You will be asked to participate in an assessment at our office over 2 days. Each assessment is 2.5 hours and will be repeated at month 6, 12, 18 and 24 to assess changes. You will receive $15 per hour for your participation to compensate you for your time in attending these sessions. Brief email questionnaires (about 5-10 minutes each month) will also be conducted to discuss your mental health symptoms and assess your functioning.

Inclusion Criteria To participate in this study, we have specific inclusion criteria: 1. You must be between the ages of 18 and 45. 2. You must be currently experiencing an episode of depression, or have experienced an episode of depression within the last month. 3. You must have normal or corrected-to-normal vision (i.e., glasses or contacts).

If you think you meet these criteria and you are interested in learning more or participating, please contact us at cpdlab@queensu.ca or 613-533-6000 ext. 78478.
